Tommy starts off by talking about his expierence in court. This has been a topic that we have all seen glimps of where parents try to be their kids friends but it just seems so wrong.
On this episode we talk about not just how to handle question of faith but how do you handle when you go to church and your ex does not. In our household for example we go to church and want the kids to also have their own beliefs. What we hope you get out of this show is simply supporting your kids.
On this episode we talk about how we have been better at talking about money as well as we will let you know if we made our savings goal for the month. Having the conversation about who handles what part of the financial pieces is going to be vital in the relationship. The bottom line (no pun intended but what the heck maybe it was) is that this is going to be a conversation right up front even during dating. The question that kept coming back in the show was "what is your feelings on money?" The other thing was how were you raised about money.
We interview two people who have taken a heart breaking tragedy and turned it into a calling. Don's youngest son was taken from him and the three years of the court battle. What Don and Nichole have created a website to help create special memories. They are doing a crowdfunding campaign to help get the site fully up and running. Today we spoke with Erik Lehman of "Game Changers." A little bit about Erik:
A little over twenty-one years ago, Erik Lehmann spent approximately 50 days living in a
homeless shelter for children in Stony Brook, NY. This experience changed his life
course forever. He learned of a world that needed a voice and not just any voice; it
needed his voice. Erik was taken in by his best friend’s parents during his senior year in
high school, and the following year, they sent him to Cornell University to study Human
Development and Family Studies. This was an absolute miracle!
Today Erik is working on trying to not only get kids off the coach but parents as well to spend at least two extra hours a week with our kids. Erik's passion and mission of Game Changers along with questions can be found at his website www.dream-catalyst.org

We touch on a current event of what is going on with the new laws dealing with freedom of religion. How do you teach tolerance in a blended family?
We talk about not only taking the high road but along with that is the forgivness piece and how they can be tied together. Do you have to actually tell the other person you forgave them or can you tell yourself? When taking the high road do you need to respond to the other one or can silence be taking the high road?
Tommy was on business using Uber and the driver, Fred talked to Tommy about his concerns if he gets into a serious relationship as far as living places. On this episode we talk about the fact that this is aonther serious conversation once you get to the point of the relationship of where are yopu going to live? Who's house or will it be a new house?

We reccomend to help your kids learn a health finical life as well as if you are not good with money ASK others who are. We also want to give 3 of the kids coloring books away by posting on blendingthefamilys Face Book page a tip to help with our topic of money.
Very happy with this episode and I hope you enjoy it as well. Ann and Tommy speak with Martin Alvarez the CEO of Modern Gladiator and Yvonne Stoud about how the kids are effected as well as are men stepping up to the plate after a divorce or are they ignoring their fatherly duty.
Today we talk about when the kids go through the divorce does the age of the child matter because it might once you are all under one roof. Ann says that the age range of 9-15 that yes it does matter but Tommy stated that it is about the individual child. What are your thoughts??
We talked about the stereotype of the "wicked Step Parent" on the show. Both Ann and Tommy are what they have coined "Bonus" parents not step and they talk about what the word "step" means to Tommy on this episode.
