Tommy talks on this episode about taking trips with the family even when they are not in your comfort zone such as going camping. Creating memories is the key component rather then having to make the family trip super perfect. Tommy will also talk about his thoughts on what it means to be "roughing it." This is another episode based on his book "25 Tips for Divorced Dads." This is tip 13 called "Road Trip." Your family vacation can be as simple as setting up a tent in the back yard or just a day trip up the road to a hotel that has a pool. Kids love pools. Enjoy this episode.
Tommy takes one of the tips from his first book "25 Tips for Divorced Dads" and it is tip number 4 where it is about telling our kids everyday that we love them. Tommy also talks to the men that they need to be better role models when they are in public with their kids. Use courage to say to another man that they love them. Women have zero issue telling friends that they care about them or that they love them as well. Tommy just wants dads to set the tone for their kids so not only do the kids hear those words of love but can easily same them to their male friends as they get older.
