I HATE THE VIEW FROM TAKING THE HIGH ROAD.

This week was an interesting week from the point of view as a dad.

Sunday was where my thought of maybe going to jail was a thought. My former wife and her husband picked up Connor. While I was bringing Connor's hockey bag to their car is where the first story goes.

There have been times when my former wife's husband has made snide remarks to me in the past and I do "take the high road."

This time I really wanted to say something but Connor was right there and he heard the comment.

OK "bonus" parenting 101: if you have a dumb comment to make, DO NOT SAY IT IN FRONT OF THE KIDS!!!

The Brady's VS the Cleavers article for The Good Men Project:

https://goodmenproject.com/featured-content/bradys-vs-cleavers-cmtt/

Story number two: Well not sure how to handle this one.

My older bonus daughter Betsy's boyfriend (say that 10 times fast) is a great young man.

When they set the bar for boyfriend's Tristian has set that bar very high. He is very polite and attends Becca's (other bonus daughter) varsity basketball games.

The issue that I am having is that when we attend the games he sits with Betsy's dad and his wife.

I am feeling that maybe I am a bit jealous?

There is playbook to handle this situation other then what maybe I have learned from life and that is to take the high road. AGAIN!

Johnny Nomad is a dad doing blending a family or in his words "tribes" the right way.

I had a sense that his story would serve many families and this episode will not disappoint you.

There was some "adult" language used so you have been warned.

Duke our family dog is getting older and he has this new issue of wanting to go out every few minutes. You will hear him wanting to go out several times. For that I apoligies.

From Johnny's bio:

Johnny was born in Brooklyn, New York. He grew up in a pretty bad neighborhood, His mother wouldn't let him out much she wanted to protect him so he watched a lot of TV.

His father wasn't around much. He left my mother when I was six years old.

My mother couldn't afford to pay for the apartment that we had so we had to move to projects which was hell. Wanting a sense of family, he began to watch this little TV show called the Cosby Show, Charles in charge, family matters and Saved by the bell.

The shows gave him a sense of community and family, it also taught him how to be the parent that he is today. It gave him a blue print to which would model his current parenting style after.

“I have been divorce since 2012 and will be marrying the woman of my dreams this coming March. Super excited, with this marriage we will be blending 9 kids.”

Can I tell you how much I have a bro crush on Terry Crews? He has now become a virtual mentor of mine.

He was recently interviewed on the Tim Ferris podcast and it is one you should listen to. After listening to that episode over and over it inspired me to share some thoughts.

Before I forget please follow Mr. Crews on either Twitter or Instagram @terrycrews

Thank you for taking the time listening to this episode and hopefully you will come back for more.

I would rather not type a lot of show notes but wanting you to simply hear in my voice to inspire you and I to well TAKE THE SHOT!

I might still have some issues. Do you have these issues as well?

Driving back after dropping off Connor from the "neutral" spot where his mom was picking him up. I had a little issue that needed to just be said.

Then there a few more thoughts. I would actually say that this episode was more of a rant then anything.

Driving while podcasting was an idea from two of my mentors. Denise and Steven.

Why is there a picture of Elon Musk? Have you ever seen the episode of the "Big Bang Therory" when Musk was washing dishes with Howard? I have a story early on this episode.

This was fun to do and I truly hope that you are not bored while listening.

Please! Let me know what you think of this type of format brcause there will be more to come.

There will still be other podcast shows with guest so do not worry.

Thank you for your support.
