One more day of the day job...
This episode is sponsored by the book “Ten Tips On How To Survive Your Parent’s Divorce.” Do you know of a child who is to young for them to express themselves? This coloring book can possibly help them. This book was actually written by two kid authors: Becca and Connor. Their own expense of divorce can help other kids because again this book was written by kids.
You can purchase the book at BlendingTheFamily.com or even on Amazon.
Here we go. The last day of the dreaded day job. Now what??
It is time to take my life into my own hands but putting faith in GOD. Would that be multi-tasking?
My first step to create income is going to the people and selling the kids coloring book.
I also need to mention that if you are divorced or will be: make sure you look at your parenting agreement. You will hear the lesson I just learned. I am pissed at myself.
Thank you for supporting the podcast it means so much to me.
Will this be the last episode of "driving while podcasting"? Not sure.
Stay tuned...

I want to start off with you that what about you are going to listen to is a very personal episode. We all have some type of "faith" and I am coming into my own.
Part of who I am is taking stupid risks and writing and podcasting are just a couple.
There is also quiting a job and just putting faith that it is all going to workout.
I was meeting up with a friend who said that when we take our leap of faith that it would be nice to get a simple push.
Here is my push for you.

Crowd Sourcing is not begging it's a mindset I need to get over and that means I am asking for your help.

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT!!!
There is going to be a book launch in the month of April. I am not going to sugar coat this at all. I need your help.
One of my favorite TED Talks is of Amanda Palmer who taught many of us that asking does not mean begging. Asking is not a sign of weakness. Asking can be very uplifiting.
For this book "My Dad's Advice At 5:04 AM" is going to launched on a book publishing crowd sourcing sight called:
publishizer.com
I am going to be asking for your help to raise money to get this book finally published. The money (6-7 Thousand dollars) will be going to a campaign where the money will be used to help get the book edited.
Putting many hours into this book means that I do not want to skimp on this process.
Once the project is launched I will have "bonuses" to say thank you for helping me with my vision. This might include being a guest on the podcast or even putting your name in the book as another way of saying thank you.
Please either check on the Facebook page, Instagram or on the blog to get more information. I am thinking that the launch will be April 15 (kind of funny).
I have not only an editor but there is going to be so much more to just the book but again I need your help to achieve this 2018 goal.

I was having a conversation with my mom and she reminded me that I am a great dad. My thought process was that I was not a great dad because, well I do not know if I am. I should ask my kids.
It would be nice as men that we would say to another man that they are a great dad or women telling a another dad that are a great dad.
Please spread the message to dads all over the world.
PLEASE!!

Here is what occurred to me that this will be one of those times where I am right and you are not. Do not take it personality but you might.
I keep hearing either on the podcast or in person how people say that they put the kids needs first. I do not believe them.
This weekend I was getting my hair cut (a lot of hair is gone) and the young lady cutting my hair said that she puts the kids needs first. She has been dating the same guy for six months but he has yet to meet her kids.
I find this odd. Do you?
Today was a proud daddy moment as I watched Becca and Connor ride together to church this morning. Why was this a proud daddy moment? It proved my point that you have to put the kids first period end of story.
On this episode you will hear why I am right and others are wrong when they say that they do put the kids first when the adults are dating.
Plus I am running a contest.

I will apologize for my very bad attempt speaking Spanish. Michael and I go not into how as a man it took him so long to figure out that it is ok to ask for help,
We go into why it was not easy to say the “L” word to his wife even though he was raised in a loving home.
A bit of a guest appearance from Michael’s son.
Why you need to have your own 12 Apostles to help you in life.

What would you do instead if you could write a better script for your life?
I had a job interview and it was very informal. The hiring manager and I met at a coffee place and right off the bat he told me that he was not going to hire me.
OK, honesty that is fine.
However he told me that I need to follow my passion.
As I write this my life is about to change. What does that mean? I took my leap of faith.
Re-write your scipt as I am about to.

This podcast episode was not complete and what that means is that due to the weather I stopped recording but there are one or two points to consider as you hopefully listen.
Here is the link to the article I spoke of during the brief time you and I will be together:
https://goodmenproject.com/families/dear-dads-how-is-your-relationship-with-money-wcz/
What conversations can we have with our kids and when do you feel that there are ones that need to be talked about at an early stage in your kids life?
My foundation of this episode is just about having an open dialog but even if you are not a parent, do you have regular real conversations with your partner?

There needs to be more love and gratitude in the world.
This Parenting Tip Tuesday has been done before but I wanted to add a thought for the listeners who do not have kids.
Plus there is NOTHING wrong with hugging. Even if you are a man.
Today please show another human love and gratitude. Trust me when I tell you that it will come back to you. Like a Boomerang but without the hurt.
