LET'S DO THAT PODCAST
Welcome to this weeks Blending The Family podcast. Are you doing good?
I am super pumped to share with you this episode. My guest is Lauren Raymond and she reached out to me on Linkedin. She asked me if I would answer questions that dealt with marriage and parenting. I said to Lauren why don't we record this and make it a podcast. She agreed.
Her questions that she asked me were the first time I heard them. I was 100 percent honest and the questions really started to make me think as both a parent and a husband. I hope they make you think as well.
Who is Lauren?
Lauren Aleza Raymond is an elementary educator and founder of Daily Joy LLC where she privately coaches parents to build JOYFUL homes where everyone feels loved, heard, and nurtured so that their house can truly be a sanctuary of peace. Her program is based on creating joy in 3 areas: self, relationships, and parenting. Together this creates joyful homes.
She resides in the Colorado mountains with her husband, two children, and a dog. She loves being active outside with her friends and family hiking, biking, skiing, paddle boarding, gardening, camping and loves to read a good book.

I had to ask the question.
My son Connor and I were headed to his hockey game when I asked him a question that has been on my mind for a long time.
You too should ask the question.
Do you know what your kids think of you as a parent? I asked.
My goal (no pun intended) is to ask our kids and Connor was the first I asked. I simply said, "am I a good dad?" He was a bit thrown off the question and I know he was not ready for a question of this magnitude: but I wanted to ask.
I believe we should ask our kids and not just once but at least once a quarter.
Please let me know if you ask the question and email me, please.
